BIOGRAPHY

Julie is a patent attorney practicing in the areas of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and related opinion work, with an emphasis in medical devices. Julie’s practice includes patent preparation and prosecution and freedom to operate analysis. Julie was a co-op engineer before attending law school and is a named inventor on a patent, so she understands patents from multiple perspectives. Among other things, Julie has experience preparing patent applications for various medical devices, optical devices, robotics systems, and other mechanical systems.

Julie is perpetually curious and excited to learn about her client’s passions and inventions, and she helps provide intellectual property protection to best meet her client’s needs. In her free time, Julie enjoys running and wants to eventually hike each of the 50 state’s highest mountain peaks. Mt. Elbert (CO) has been her favorite so far.
